Arrival of Alouk water at Al-Hamma station

Water from the Alouk station has reached the Al-Hamma station, north of Hasaka, after years of interruption, paving the way for the resumption of pumping to the city's neighborhoods.

Late yesterday evening (Saturday), water from the Alouk station reached the Al-Hamma station, located north of Hasaka city, following years of service interruption.

Nineteen wells and four horizontal pumps at the Alouk station are currently operating on a trial basis to pump water. Meanwhile, the Hasaka Water Directorate continues efforts to remove unauthorized connections and repair pipeline breaches along the line extending from the Alouk station—located in the countryside of Sere Kaniyê—to the Al-Hamma station north of Hasaka.

Once the trial pumping concludes, the readiness of the stations and the transmission line is verified, and the Al-Hamma station’s reservoir is filled, water pumping to the neighborhoods of Hasaka city will commence.

The General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation announced yesterday (Saturday) that it would officially declare the Alouk station fully operational and confirm the water's potability immediately upon the completion of tests and the validation of results by the relevant technical authorities.
