Israeli forces raid home, detain man in rural Daraa

An Israeli patrol carried out a raid on a house in western rural Daraa and detained a man, taking him to an unknown location.

According to reports, an Israeli forces patrol stormed a home in the village of Al-‘Ardah, located between Abidin and Maariyah in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa, on Wednesday morning. The man they arrested is known by the nickname “The Bat,” (Al-Khafash) though the reasons for his detention remain unclear.

He was taken to an undisclosed destination, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

In related developments, the SOHR noted that members of the transitional government’s forces were wounded by Israeli gunfire in the town of Khan Arnabeh in rural Quneitra. The incident occurred as they were being pursued after setting up a military checkpoint east of the town, consisting of three Humvees and a Hilux vehicle.

Gunfire directed by Israeli soldiers at several civilians during the operation resulted in the injuries. The wounded personnel were transported to the Golan National Hospital for treatment.
