The governorates of Daraa and Quneitra witnessed Israeli military movements today, including gunfire, warplane flights, the establishment of checkpoints and the detention of a civilian, according to local sources.

The sources said that three Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward agricultural land in Wadi Abidin in the western countryside of Daraa, from the Kafr Mula area, near the former United Nations position located along the 1974 ceasefire line. This coincided with Israeli warplanes flying over several areas of the governorate.

In the northern countryside of Quneitra, an Israeli patrol set up a checkpoint at the Ain al-Bayda junction to search passersby. Meanwhile, another patrol detained a young man from the village of al-Asbah in the southern countryside of Quneitra during an incursion into the village after midnight.
