Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported dozens of Israeli attacks on areas in southern and eastern Lebanon today. Preliminary reports indicated that at least 13 people were killed.

In the southern coastal city of Sidon, a drone strike targeting a vehicle killed two people, according to the agency.

Clashes also continued around the strategically important Beaufort Castle, which Israeli forces reportedly captured about a week ago.

Lebanese media reported that Israeli attack helicopters opened machine-gun fire on Hezbollah fighters near the hilltop fortress.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for several attacks against Israeli positions in southern Lebanon.
