Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said today that Iran has received proposals from mediators aimed at achieving a ceasefire and reducing escalation in the conflict with the United States.

Speaking during a press conference, Baghaei responded to a question about whether there were proposals for a ceasefire with the U.S., saying, “There are proposals, and we have received them, but I will not go into details.”

Baghaei noted that mediators are working to reduce the tensions that have escalated between Tehran and Washington this July.

Earlier today, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of the ninth consecutive wave of strikes against Iran, which began Sunday evening, targeting a number of Iranian military sites and capabilities.

It said the strikes targeted military command centers, air defense systems, coastal surveillance sites, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as communication networks.
