HPG: Turkish occupation soldier killed, drone shot down
The People's Defense Forces (HPG) confirmed the death of a soldier from the Turkish occupation army and the downing of a drone, as well as the destruction of a surveillance camera system, during a series of operations carried out in Zap, Khakurke, Metina, and Garê in the Medya defense areas, S. Kurdistan.
The HPG media center issued a statement today regarding the guerrilla operations and Turkish occupation army attacks on the Medya defense areas in S. Kurdistan, stating:
“In the Martyr Delil area west of Zap:
On October 12, at 16:40, our forces targeted the occupation soldiers by sniping in the resistance area of Bahar Hill, resulting in the elimination of one occupation soldier.
On October 13, at 18:25, our forces from the Free Women’s Units-Stars destroyed three mines belonging to the occupiers in the resistance area of Judi Hill, and at 22:44, our forces targeted an armored bulldozer with semi-automatic weapons in the resistance area of Amadiya Hill.
In the Khakurke area:
On October 14, at 07:30, our forces targeted the occupation soldiers with heavy weapons in the resistance area of Himan Hill and destroyed a surveillance camera system.
In the Metina area:
On October 10, at 21:20, our forces targeted the surveillance camera system of the occupation soldiers with individual weapons in the resistance area of Shelazah.
In the Garê area:
On October 13, at 11:10, our forces shot down a Mini Bayraktar drone belonging to the occupation soldiers in the Spindar area.
Attacks by the Turkish occupation army with prohibited weapons:
On October 11, our tunnels located in the resistance area of Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil west of Zap were bombed once by suicide drones.
On October 12, our tunnels located in the resistance area of Judi Hill in the Martyr Delil west of Zap were bombed seven times with prohibited weapons.
On October 10, 12, and 13, our tunnels located in the resistance area of FM Hill in the Martyr Delil west of Zap were bombed three times with prohibited weapons.
Attacks by the Turkish occupation army:
On October 10, 11, 12, and 13, the resistance areas of Martyr Sharif and Kendikola, Khuneriya Jor, and Barbizin in the Khakurke area were attacked seven times, and the resistance areas in Shih, Zankel Hill, Drey Harge, Rebin, Kavya Plain, Miran Valley, Sidra, Siser, Derash, Spindar in the Khakurke area were attacked 13 times. The resistance areas in Judi Hill and Bahar in the Martyr Delil west of Zap were attacked five times, the Bipalana area in the Qandil area was attacked twice, and the resistance areas in Siri Metina, Shelazah, and Bishil in the Metina area were attacked five times by warplanes, totaling 32 times.
On October 10, 12, and 13, the resistance areas in Shakif Hill and Martyr Sharif in the Khakurke area were attacked 13 times, the resistance area in Siri Metina in the Metina area was attacked 21 times, and the resistance area in Bahar Hill in the Martyr Lail west of Zap was attacked 15 times by attack helicopters, totaling 49 times.
