Hîlala Zêrîn announces program of events in support of YPJ

The Hîlala Zêrîn movement has announced its program of cultural and artistic events in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), as part of the solidarity campaign launched under the slogan "We are all the Women's Protection Units; the Women's Protection Units represent us."

The Hîlala Zêrîn movement in Roj Ava confirmed its participation in the solidarity campaign supporting the YPJ, which began in April of this year under the slogan "We are all YPJ; YPJ represents us," by organizing a series of cultural and artistic events and activities in several cities in northern and eastern Syria during the current month of June.

The events include musical concerts, theatrical performances, and photo exhibitions that highlight the lives of the fighters of the YPJ, their struggle against ISIS mercenaries, as well as the achievements and gains the Units have secured for women in northern and eastern Syria.

Exhibitions and Theatrical Performances

In the city of Qamishlo, the movement will hold a performance of the plays "The Spark and the Fire" (Pêt û ar) and "The Braid's Revenge" (Tola Kezî), in addition to a photo exhibition, on June 10th at 11:00 AM at the Mohammed Sheikhou Center for Culture and Art.

In the city of Hasakah, the same event will take place on June 13th at 11:00 AM at the Hîlala Zêrîn Center.

In the city of Derik, the two plays and the photo exhibition will be held on June 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Dijla Center for Culture and Art.

Musical Concerts

The musical concerts will begin in the city of Darbasiyah on June 8th at 6:00 PM in the Garden of Martyr Zevin.

In Derik, a musical concert will be held on June 15th at 6:00 PM in the Dijla Garden.

The city of Hasakah will also host a musical concert on June 20th at 6:00 PM in the 4 Nisan Garden.

The events will conclude with a musical concert in the city of Qamishlo on June 24th at 6:00 PM in the Azadi Garden.

The Joint Events Platform of Women's Movements and Organizations in Roj Ava had launched a campaign in support of the YPJ on April 26, 2026, under the slogan "We are all the Women's Protection Units." Since its launch, the campaign has witnessed the organization of various events, along with declarations of solidarity and support for the Women's Protection Units from women personalities and movements across the Middle East and around the world.
