Amid the general mobilization declared by the Autonomous Administration, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union in the city of al-Darbasiyah have moved to the forefront of defending residential neighborhoods, affirming their full readiness to resist, protect the land and the people, and reject any attempt to break their will. Displaced people from Afrin and al-Shahba, who have remained on the path of displacement since the outbreak of the war in Afrin, stated that their demand is Kurdistan. Displaced families from Afrin, al-Shahba, and neighborhoods of Aleppo, as well as those arriving from Raqqa and al-Tabqa to the areas of the Jazira Canton, are facing harsh conditions after being sheltered in schools that lack the most basic necessities of life, amid a severe shortage of food, blankets, and heating supplies. Two lawyers from Suwayda stated that what is being committed against the Kurdish people in northern and eastern Syria constitutes a clear “ethnic cleansing of Syrian components,” which has also affected other groups such as Alawites, Druze, and Christians.
