Legal expert and human rights advocate Ali Iskan believes that the Syrian parliament’s ability to serve citizens will be measured by its independence and its genuine exercise of legislative and oversight functions. He stressed that its members should represent the interests of all Syrians and their diverse communities, participate in drafting laws, and hold the executive authority accountable, rather than merely approving pre-prepared decisions.

Political researcher Dr. Taysir Al-Alousi believes that Iraq stands at a crossroads between consolidating a state based on the rule of law and institutions or continuing the dominance of armed groups over political and security decision-making. He noted that current proposals to restrict weapons to state control may amount to little more than a reorganization of the existing situation unless accompanied by genuine political will for reform, warning of potential repercussions for domestic stability and relations with the Kurdistan Region.

Syria is entering a new phase of accelerating inflation as the value of the Syrian pound continues to decline and fuel prices, essential goods, and customs duties rise. This has increased living costs, expanded poverty, and deepened social inequalities, while most Syrians struggle to secure even their basic needs.

Despite the strategic importance of the Nusaybin border crossing in connecting Syria with Turkey and Europe and revitalizing regional trade and transportation, its actual reopening remains dependent on political considerations. Discussions continue regarding ongoing technical and administrative preparations on both the Syrian and Turkish sides to resume operations.

Around 90,000 retirees from Hama, Idlib, and Raqqa are facing growing difficulties in accessing services at the General Institution for Insurance and Pensions branch in Hama. Complaints include staff shortages, long waiting times, and high transportation costs, increasing the financial and health burdens on elderly people and those with chronic illnesses.

The People's Municipality in Hasakah has recorded 212 violations related to the occupation of sidewalks and streets with construction materials.
