Hasaka Health Directorate sets August 31 deadline to finalize paperwork for dismissed workers

The Hasaka Health Directorate in Syria has called upon employees dismissed by the Ba'athist regime—due to their participation in the Syrian revolution—to visit the directorate and submit the required documentation. This step paves the way for finalizing their reinstatement and the resumption of their duties.

Khaled Al-Khaled, the Director of Health in Hasaka, stated on the directorate's website that August 31 has been set as the deadline for receiving the necessary documents from the dismissed employees. He urged those affected to promptly visit the directorate and complete their paperwork within the specified timeframe.

Al-Khaled explained that approximately 685 employees at the Health Directorate were dismissed for these reasons—including doctors, technicians, general workers, and guards—noting that about 500 individuals have already visited the directorate and submitted their required documents.

This move is part of the process to reinstate workers dismissed due to their involvement in the Syrian revolution. In April 2025, the Ministry of Administrative Development began publishing the initial lists of employees who had been arbitrarily dismissed from various public entities in Hasaka Governorate, preparing for the completion of documentation and reinstatement interviews.

Last June, the Hasaka Governorate had also called upon permanent staff and annual contract employees—dismissed for security reasons between 2011 and December 2024 from entities affiliated with the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment—to visit the governorate headquarters for reinstatement interviews.
