Shelling targets Quneitra countryside

The Tal Krom area in the central Quneitra countryside was shelled at dawn today, amid continued Israeli military movements in southern Syria.

Local sources reported artillery shells falling around Tal Krom, with no reports so far of casualties or the extent of the damage caused by the shelling, or information on the party responsible.

The shelling comes days after an Israeli attack targeted agricultural land between the towns of Samadaniyah and Tal Krom, as well as the area around eastern Tal Ahmar and the village of Taranja. No casualties were reported, according to local sources.

The developments come amid continued Israeli incursions and military movements in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra. These include setting up temporary checkpoints, conducting searches and raids, detaining residents and targeting agricultural areas in Quneitra.
