Girkê Legê residents demand broader explanation of integration process

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Girkê Legê city held a meeting on Wednesday at the party's office in the city to explain the current situation and the mechanism for integration. The meeting was attended by a number of residents and members of local institutions.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a speech from Kawa Qehreman; the advisor to the Girkê Legê City Council, as he addressed the current phase and the political developments witnessed in the region, emphasizing that the present circumstances require a high level of awareness and collective responsibility. He called for not being influenced by the special war and for reinforcing confidence in the strength of the community, working together to protect the gains achieved in recent years, and continuing the struggle to secure the rights of the Kurdish people.

He added that any step that serves Kurdish unity should be supported, stressing that unity is not achieved through slogans alone, but through joint action and organization.

He further explained that what matters most to the Kurdish people is preserving their existence, language, and rights, calling for solidarity and awareness during this current phase to protect their gains and continue the struggle for their rights.

Following this, the floor was opened for discussion, as the attendees' questions focused on the mechanism by which the integration process is being implemented, how to preserve the gains of the Kurdish people in the coming phase, the need to clarify the details of the integration to the community more broadly, and the role of Kurdish unity in protecting the existence and political rights of the Kurdish people.
