The Free Media Union extended its warmest congratulations to the Women's Media Union on the occasion of its fourth conference, held on Saturday, in the city of Qamishlo in Jazira region, under the slogan "With the development of the Free Media Union, we will be the voice of the women's revolution."

In a statement issued on Sunday and published on its official website, the Union declared that the conference marked a historic milestone in the journey of free media. It commemorated the martyrs of free media who sacrificed their lives for the truth, foremost among them Jihan Belkin, Nazim Dashtan, Akid Roj, Gulistan Tara, and Hiro Baha Eddin, affirming that their struggle will remain a beacon inspiring future generations on the path to freedom of expression.

The statement further noted that female journalists in North and East Syria have proven, despite the challenges and harsh conditions, that women's pen is an invincible weapon against policies of exclusion and discrimination, and that they have been the voice of truth and faithful conveyors of the revolution's events.

The Free Media Union concluded its statement by affirming that it draws inspiration from the struggle of female journalists and their determination to continue building a free and democratic media that serves as a voice for women and society, pledging to continue its organizational and training efforts to uncover the truth.

The statement concluded chanting, "Congratulations on this historic achievement."
