Fate of 4 Kurdish citizens unknown after arrest by Iranian authorities

The Human Rights Network in Eastern Kurdistan reported that on November 5, Iranian intelligence raided the village of Dioznaw and arrested 4 Kurdish citizens and took them to a detention center in the city of Sena. Since then, the families of the detainees or their lawyers have not been able to communicate with them, as the Iranian authorities have not issued any statement explaining the reason for their detention.

The detainees are: Sina Asadi Hakim (15 years old), Hamid Salehi Nejad (27 years old), Mohammad Karimi (31 years old), and Jafar Ardalan (40 years old).

According to sources, the family of the child Sina Asadi Hakim has been subjected to repeated pressure from Iranian security services over the past year, due to the affiliation of two of Sina’s sisters to an opposition Kurdish party. The authorities have demanded that the family leave the village as part of their policy to tighten the noose on dissidents and their families.
