Executive Council in Raqqa forms “work cell” to oversee exams

The Executive Council of Raqqa held a wide meeting today, which included all its relevant bodies for organizing the examination process for the Basic Education Certificate (Grade 9) based on the former regime's curriculum. The aim was to ensure that the exams begin in a controlled and safe environment in the canton.

The meeting was attended by members of the Education and Teaching Body, the Union of Municipalities, the Interior Body, the Energy Body, and the Communications Body.

The Education and Teaching Body in NE Syria announced the opening of a registration center for all students without exception, following an agreement between the Damascus authorities and the Education Body in the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria. This will be done through "registration windows" designated in the specified centers in the cantons.

The body identified 27 examination centers in the Raqqa Canton and its countryside, with confirmation that the number can be increased immediately based on the number of registered students. It also decided to cut off communication and internet networks entirely during the examination hours to ensure the integrity and transparency of the process.

The Union of Municipalities in Raqqa committed during the meeting to continuously supply water and disinfect examination centers, while the Health Body prepared ambulances and emergency teams to monitor the health situation and respond to any emergencies.

The Interior Body will be responsible for securing and protecting the examination centers.

During the meeting, it was announced that a "work cell" would be formed from the relevant bodies and institutions to follow up on all details of the examination process and to intervene quickly to address any emergencies that may occur, ensuring the smooth conduct of the public exams in Raqqa and its countryside.

The Education Body stressed the media coverage requirements, announcing that entry to the exam halls is prohibited except for those carrying official accreditation cards issued by the body. The card is mandatory for every media personnel.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the body will begin moving student seats to the designated schools for examination centers through contracts with workshops to ensure full readiness before the scheduled time.

According to the Education and Teaching Body in the Autonomous Administration, registration centers in the cantons of Jazira, Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, Tabqa, and Euphrates will receive registration requests between the 11th and 17th of this month.
