Escalating attacks in occupied Afrin: Beatings and shootings target residents

The Afrin Human Rights Organization – Syria revealed that two young men from the countryside of occupied Afrin city were subjected to repeated attacks within less than 48 hours by "Hamzat" mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin – Syria reported that two young men from the countryside of occupied Afrin city were subjected to repeated attacks within less than 48 hours by "Hamzat" mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation.

On May 2, a number of "Hamzat" mercenaries assaulted Muhammad Muhammad Jabr, a resident of the town of Midanki in the city of Sharan, as he was heading to the village of Shorba to repair his internet network. The attack forced him to pay a fee for owning an internet distribution center.

On the same day, a young man, Kamiran Hasan Bakr, from the village of Firkan in the Sharan countryside, was shot in the chest by settlers.

Violations continue in areas under Turkish occupation, where mercenaries carry out kidnappings, torture, and humiliation against civilians without legal accountability, amidst a security vacuum and international disregard for the continuation of these crimes.
