Many experts and observers still doubt the Egyptian-Turkish rapprochement path, despite meeting between Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

This rapprochement comes as a result of the failure of the Turkish state's policies in the Middle East, so it has moved towards calming down with the countries of the region, starting from the Gulf to Egypt, and now it is trying to calm down and reach a deal with the Damascus government. However, there are several obstacles, most notably the Libyan and the Muslim Brotherhood file.

Observers warned that there is a possibility of Turkish and Qatari efforts to bring the Brotherhood back to the Egyptian scene by proposing the idea of the Brotherhood distancing itself from politics through separating the political bureau from the preaching office.

"I believe that the recent visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Turkey embodied the features of the future relationship between the two countries, especially since this relationship went through many stages ended with the meeting between the two presidents, in addition to solving many urgent issues in light of the political transformations in the region and the world" the researcher in Islamic groups, Dr. Mounir Adeeb spoke to ANHA agency

Mounir Adeeb added that: "The path of rapprochement took a different form. Both countries need each other. The political transformations in the Arab region and the war in Gaza require both sides to strengthen these relations, and this is what prompted the two sides to accelerate the pace of rapprochement."

Hi pointed out that: “There is no doubt that there are unresolved issues between the Egyptian and Turkish sides, some of which may be related to the Muslim Brotherhood, and I believe that Turkey has committed to not having any incitement by the Muslim Brotherhood against the ruling regime in Egypt.

Turkey has been supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood, but it may dispense with them at any time in exchange for Turkey’s higher interests.

Adeeb explained that: “Turkey considers supporting the Muslim Brotherhood an obligation. Furthermore, it has not abandoned the Muslim Brotherhood completely, but rather granted citizenship to hundreds of them, this implies that it supports this approach in way does not affect the paths of rapprochement.”

Adeeb stressed that: “ We are talking about an extremist organization that incites violence. This group is trying to seek an attempt to reproduce themselves and therefore they are proposing the idea of amnesty and reconciliation."

He added, " I believe that there is an identification between the state and the political and security leadership and the Egyptian people who categorically reject any approach that ultimately leads to tolerance with the group or even a final amnesty for them.”
