Naji Salama pointed out that the Turkish attacks on the al-Shahba region have continued for 6 years, noting that civilians are being targeted there, and stated that the attacks of the Turkish occupation are not limited to the Shahba region, but rather extend to all areas of North and East Syria, and said: "We have the right to defend ourselves, and all components living in the Afrin and Shahba cantons defend the same thing together and insists on the struggle, and these attacks will not be able to break the will of our people, and the Turkish state will not be able to destabilize the prevailing security and stability."
Salama explained: "The Turkish attacks sometimes cause panic among the people, but our people are committed to their resistance and are ready for anything in order to return to Afrin."
Naji Salama added: "Al-Shahba has turned into an area for the displaced, and the international and neighboring powers present in the province, such as Russia and groups loyal to Iran and Syria, are silent about these attacks, and here we express our rejection of this silence and condemn it. These countries must break their silence about these attacks."
Naji Salama pointed to the people's insistence on adhering to the resistance and said: "All parties and countries must stop trying to destabilize security and stability and stir up strife between the components in the areas of the autonomous administration, as they will not be able to break our will with their own war and stir up chaos and conflicts, and we will liberate all the occupied Syrian areas with the strength of our people and fighters."
In the same context, the displaced people of Afrin stressed the continuation of the struggle against the occupation, as Jihan Arslan explained that they have been resisting in al-Shahba for years, and said: "The Turkish occupation state attacks the al-Shahba region and targets civilians every day, but it will not be able to eliminate our resistance - we support the Afrin Liberation Forces, and we will follow in the footsteps of our martyrs, we will liberate Afrin with our struggle and return to it."
The displaced person Mohammad Ali Hassan stressed that the Turkish occupation state will not be able to eliminate their resistance with its attacks, and indicated that their struggle and resistance are for the sake of returning to Afrin.
