Without stopping, we witness in North and East Syria, on a daily basis, the continued reactions against the torture and genocide system practiced against Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained in Imrali prison since 1999, and the residents of the region see it as the best way to achieve his physical freedom.

Despite these reactions, the movement of international human rights institutions concerned with human rights and detainees is still absent, and their responses do not express what their principles are based on, the latest of which was the response of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Committee against Torture (CPT) to the letters related to the torture and genocide system imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which were satisfied with thanking the senders for addressing them.

Jafin Habib, from the city of Amuda, believes that the Turkish authorities are escalating the policy of torture and genocide against Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, and the struggle must be escalated in the face of it, and she indicated her continued participation in all the events organized in this framework.

Jafin Habib believes that the popular rejection and its expansion is a guarantee for achieving the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

It is time to achieve the physical freedom of the leader

Iman Mahmoud's opinion does not differ from Jafin's opinion, and she said: "Ending the system of torture and genocide in Imrali prison and achieving the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan lies in escalating and expanding the scope of the popular struggle," amid the disregard of their popular demands by the institutions concerned with human rights.

For his part, Mohammad Khair Tawfiq said: "Everyone, wherever they are, whether here or abroad, must spread the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, to achieve equality and justice, as well as not to be complacent and participate in all events with great momentum to form broad popular pressure."

Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been detained for more than 24 years in Imrali Island Prison in the Sea of Marmara, following an international conspiracy carried out by international and regional powers in 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and was handed over to the occupying Turkish state on February 15 of the same year.

The last meeting with him was held by his lawyers, Rezan Sarica and Newroz Uysal, on August 7, 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a 5-minute phone call with his brother, Mehmet Ocalan, before the call was cut off.
