Dialogue seminar for "SDC" representation in Germany on political solution in Syria

The representation of the Syrian Democratic Council in Germany organized a dialogue seminar today in the city of Dortmund, attended by an elite group of Kurdish and Arab political and media activists, with the participation of Mr. Qasim al-Khatib from the Return and Construction Front, and the representative of the Syrian Democratic Council in Germany, Dr. Rizgar Qasim.

The seminar discussed the recent political developments in Syria after the fall of the regime and the escape of Bashar al-Assad, and the control of the Military Operations Administration over Damascus. The representative of the Syrian Democratic Council in Germany, Rizgar Qasim, began his intervention by reviewing the repercussions of these changes on the Syrian scene, stressing the need to adopt comprehensive democratic solutions that guarantee the rights of all components and achieve sustainable stability.

In his turn, Mr. Qasim al-Khatib stressed that the new administration in Damascus does not represent a real democratic alternative, pointing out that it bypasses the national parties seeking a just political solution. He stressed that the autonomous administration project and the Syrian Democratic Council constitute the most balanced and successful model for achieving a stable future for Syria, as they are based on the principles of pluralism, decentralization and democracy.

The symposium witnessed wide interaction from the attendees, who presented many questions and interventions that shed light on the prospects for a political solution and the challenges facing efforts to achieve peace in Syria. The participants stressed the importance of continuing dialogue between the various democratic forces to enhance a unified vision for the future of the country, based on the foundations of justice and national partnership.
