The K. Star and women's organizations in al-Hasakah city of al-Jazira Canton released a statement to the public today, denouncing the killing of child Mustafa Sheikho by Turkish occupation mercenaries in the city of Jandaris in occupied Afrin on June 19.

It was delivered by a Women's Council member in Afrin city, Hevin Hussein, at Marsho roundabout in Tal Hajar neighborhood, and was attended by the representatives of women's organizations and members of the Star Conference.

The following was the testimony: "Syria is experiencing hard times, and the Turkish-occupied and its mercenaries' zones, such as Afrin, Serekaniye/Ras al-Ain, and Gire Spi/Tal Abyad, are subjected to the most heinous atrocities, including killing, arrest, displacement, and kidnapping, in addition to seizing property, chopping down trees, and intimidating individuals in order to extort money from them or drive them out of their houses. The most heinous atrocities are accompanied by atrocities such as what happened recently to the young man Mustafa Sheikho, who was assassinated by an armed group while guarding solar panels in his village of Hajj Hasno in Jandaris."

The statement went on as follows: "We condemn and denounce these crimes, and we appeal to humanitarian and international organizations to bring their perpetrators to justice and hold them accountable."

Also in the same context, the Sterk Organization for the Protection and Supervision of Children's Rights in Hasakah presented a statement delivered by Limar Tayseer al-Mohammad outside the organization's headquarters in al-Salihiyah neighborhood. The statement emphasized that this is not the first, but one of a series of crimes committed by mercenary gangs serving the Turkish occupation, which violates all international laws under the vigilant eyes of international powers.

The statement concluded with a call to deliver the perpetrators of these crimes to justice, blaming these violations on the Turkish occupation and calling upon all international organizations and humanitarian agencies to make serious efforts to put an end to these crimes against children in Nporth and East Syria and to make efforts to restore children's rights, dignity, and freedom.
