Deir ez-Zor municipalities complete service projects

In implementation of the outcomes of the “Enhancing Security and Stability” conference held in Deir ez-Zor, the municipalities of Deir ez-Zor under the guidance of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, launched several service projects, including projects to expand drinking water networks in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The Local Administration and Municipalities Body worked to extend a water pipe in the Shaqra area in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, with a length of 250 meters and a diameter of 6 inches, feeding 6,000 residents of the region.

A water pipe in the village of Hawaij Dhiyab, 3,000 meters long and 4 inches in diameter, feeds 4,000 people, in addition to a water pipe in the village of Hawaij Bumasa, 1,500 meters long and 6 inches in diameter, feeding approximately 3,000 people, and a water pipe in the village of Zaghir, 2,250 meters long and 10 inches in diameter which feeds 6,000 people.

The Body worked to replace the main line of the Al-Kasra town water station, with a diameter of 10 inches, feeding 15,000 people, and the water pipe of the village of Hamar Al-Kasra, 1,600 meters long, with a diameter of 10 inches, feeding approximately 5,000 people, and extending a water pipe in the Albu Shams area with a length of 1,400 metres with a diameter of 4 inches, feeding 4,000,000 people, a water pipe in Jazrat Al-Milaj, 440 meters long, with a diameter of 4 inches, feeding 4,000 people, and a water pipe in Jazrat Al-Bu Humaid, 1,800 meters long, with a diameter of 6 inches, feeding 4,000 people.

The Body is working on maintaining several water stations in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, including Al-Kubar water station, Al-Saawa town water station, Jazrat Al-Milaj water station, and Al-Kasra town water station.

In this regard, the co-chair of the services office in the Western Region Council, Wahab Al-Bashar, told ANHA agency: “ The body is working to improve the service reality in the region to enhance the economic and social life of the population."
