The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that "five military trucks of the (Tatra) type, loaded with ammunition and weapons, crossed the Homs-Hama highway, accompanied by a pickup truck at the front of the convoy and another equipped with a DShK machine gun at the rear, heading towards northern Syria."

On the other hand, the Observatory mentioned that Turkish-backed mercenaries, including "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries, are preparing for a large-scale attack on Damascus government forces' positions in the "de-escalation zone."

On October 9, Damascus government forces sent massive military reinforcements to western Aleppo countryside and Idlib countryside, including Special Task Forces from the "25th Division," in addition to hundreds of soldiers, vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns, and tanks.
