DAA donates $1 million to support Sweida people

The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) has donated one million US dollars to the Kurdish Red Crescent in support of a relief campaign for the people of Sweida and southern Syria, amid ongoing calls for donations inside and outside the country.

The Kurdish Red Crescent announced on its official website that it had received a donation of one million US dollars from the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. The donation is intended to support a campaign launched by the organization to assist civilians affected in Sweida and the southern region of Syria.

The Kurdish Red Crescent expressed its gratitude to the Autonomous Administration for this humanitarian initiative, stressing that this support represents a significant step given the difficult conditions facing residents in those areas, which have recently witnessed painful and deadly events that impacted all Syrians.

The organization explained that its relief campaign, launched on July 24, 2025, is still ongoing both inside and outside Syria, calling on individuals and institutions to contribute to the donations.

It also noted that donation boxes are available at various Kurdish Red Crescent centers and points across North and East Syria, while donors from abroad can contribute via banking links and accounts provided in the campaign’s official announcement.

This initiative comes as part of broader community efforts across the regions of North and East Syria to promote humanitarian solidarity among Syrians in the face of worsening crises and challenges, and to strengthen a culture of cooperation and fraternity.
