Kamiran Osman, the member of the CPT organization, shared information via his official social media page about new attempts by the Turkish occupation state to advance into Southern Kurdistan territories.

Osman stated: "Despite the ongoing peace process between the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and Turkey, on Tuesday, July 29, the Turkish army began a ground military operation involving approximately 250 soldiers, targeting villages in the (Koli) area in the Batufa sub-district of Duhok."

He noted, "On Tuesday morning, Turkish forces were airlifted by several helicopters to Mount (Siyara Stawri), where they established a military base.

On the morning of July 30, the soldiers began comprehensive combing operations in the villages of the Koli area, imposing a complete ban on residents entering or leaving these villages."

He added: "The forces moved from the village of (Kashan) toward the village of (Banki), passing through an Iraqi border guard checkpoint, and continued combing operations toward the villages of (Shilin, Shilani, Banki, Lihvani, Abla, and Birbal)." Osman also mentioned that "since July 28, the Turkish army has closed all roads leading to the fields and orchards of farmers in Kashan village, and all residents of the village were instructed not to leave their homes."

He concluded, "The Turkish army aims, through this operation, to prevent residents from returning to their villages and to implement a project to establish a (buffer zone) in the border villages within the independent Zakho administration, to solidify full Turkish military presence in the area."
