Conference of “Social Democratic Alliance in the Arab World” kicks off 

The conference, which will last for four consecutive days, kicked off in Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan, bringing together leaders and prominent figures from 21 countries worldwide.

A delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is participating in the conference, consisting of: Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Grîb Hesso, members of the party's Presidential Council Fawza Yusuf and Saleh Muslim, the party spokesperson Sama Bekdash, Gulistan Killo from the Kongra Star conference, and Hikmat al-Habib, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Autonomous Administration. Additionally, delegations from the People’s Equality and Democracy Party from Northern Kurdistan are also attending.

The conference is being conducted under the supervision of Bafel Talabani, head of the Kurdistan Democratic Union, according to Roj News Agency. Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, and several other figures are also expected to participate.

According to the conference program, the first day is dedicated to discussing issues related to women, their role in political decision-making at both central and local levels, and the election of the president of the Union of Social Democratic Women.

The conference is scheduled to continue for four days, during which various topics and panels on domestic, regional, and international issues will be presented. The conference aims to strengthen relations between progressive Arab and Kurdish forces and to enhance coordination among social democratic parties.
