Commemoration of 88 martyrs in Girkê Legê

The ceremony took place at the Aram Tikran Center for Culture and Arts in Rmelan, attended by the families of the martyrs, local residents, members of the Martyrs’ Families Council, and representatives of civil institutions.

The event began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a speech on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council delivered by Nudem Hassan, offering condolences to the families and reaffirming commitment to the martyrs’ values and path.

She stated: “We will never forget our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland and people. They remain beacons of freedom, and thanks to their sacrifices, the achievements of the people of North and East Syria have been realized.” She emphasized the continuation of their path toward freedom and dignity.

After the speech, the mothers of the martyrs lit candles in front of the 88 martyrs’ photos and placed flowers beside them. A slideshow displaying the martyrs’ photos was also presented during the ceremony.

The event concluded with the reading of the martyrs’ records and the chanting of slogans: “Martyrs are immortal” and “Long live the Leader.”
