The child who was shot by Turkish gendarmerie forces in the city of Kobani has undergone surgery.

KOBANI 

On August 25, members of the Turkish occupation army’s gendarmerie (border guards) opened fire indiscriminately on Kobani in the Euphrates Canton, injuring 15-year-old Walat Mahmoud Horan. He was struck while inside his family’s shop, sustaining serious wounds.

Walat Mahmoud Horan was rushed to the German Hospital in Kobani, where it was revealed that the bullet had lodged in one of his lungs. Medical staff at the hospital reported that his life was in danger.

According to information provided by the child's family, surgery was performed on Walat today, during which the bullet was removed from his lung.

Walat’s mother, Madina Hassi, said doctors informed her that her son’s condition is now stable and his treatment is ongoing.
