Celebrations commemorating founding of KJK: It represents will of women

On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Women’s Organization KJK, and under the slogan “Women, Life, Freedom, Towards the Women’s Revolution,” massive celebrations were held in the NE Syria and the city of Aleppo.

The celebration raised the slogans of the women's revolution and freedom, and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the female martyrs of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, and during it several speeches were given that referred to the women's struggle and revolution.

Aleppo

In the city of Aleppo, the celebration was organized by Kongra Star, in Martyrs' Square in the western part of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

During it, the co-chair of the Academy of Democratic Society, Souad Hassan, gave a speech, in which she spoke: about what women suffered in light of the emergence of secters and capitalism.

Souad explained the gains of establishing the Kurdistan Women’s System, and said, “The mother was the one who ensured the continuity and functioning of societies, and with the establishment of the KJK, women were able to rise again and demand their freedom and true status.”

Then, the martyr Zilan and Vejîn bands performed singing performances, while the martyr Hazel’s band performed folkloric dancing, and the celebration ended with chanting the slogans “Woman, Life, Freedom,” and “Long live the resistance to the leader.”

Qamishlo

Azadi Park witnessed the celebration in the city of Qamishlo, and the people of the city of Qamishlo participated.

Kongra Star spokeswoman Rehan loqo spoke during the celebration, and her speech said: “Congratulations on the anniversary of the founding of the leader and philosopher Abdullah Ocalan, the founder of the philosophy of women, life, freedom.”

Rehan referred to women’s leadership in the freedom revolution and making sacrifices for its sake, and said: “We will achieve the dreams and ambitions of our fellow martyrs, and despite all the difficulties, we will resist and rise up.”

Then the women chanted slogan “Women, Life, Freedom.” Dabkeh circles were held to the sounds of the songs of the Martyr Dalila Band, the artist Sumaya Muhammad, and the Martyr Sakina Band.

Al-Hol

In Al-Hol district, the people of Al-Hol, Al-Shaddadi, Arisha and Markada districts in Jazera Canton participated in the celebration, which was held in the Educational Complex.

The administrator at Kongra Star Berivan spoke during the celebration about what the women’s revolution.

At the conclusion of the event, the Al-Hil Cultural Center band presented a theatrical performance entitled “The Arabic Language.”

Darbasiyah

The people of Darbasiyah participated, along with the people of the Tal Tamr and Zarghan districts, in the celebration held on the anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Women’s Organization. The celebration square in the district’s garage was decorated with pictures of the leader, flags, and banners bearing the slogan “Women, Life, Freedom.”

Member of Star Coordination, Walida Botti, said during this: “Women in all parts of Kurdistan are struggling under the KJK to obtain justice and freedom.”

She emphasized continuing on the path of the martyrs and the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the struggle on the path of free thought until the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.

The celebration included musical performances by the Martyr Shorsh Band, the Martyr Zilan Band, and the artist Hojîn Hêriz. The celebration ended with the holding of dabkah to the sounds of revolutionary and popular songs.

Derik

The celebration in the city of Derik was held in the Dijla Park, and the people of the areas of Tal Koçer, Çil Agha, and Girkê legê also participated.

After standing for a minute of silence, Kongra Star member in Girkê legê, Ihan Murad, gave a speech that referred to the struggle of Kurdistan women and their resistance in the face of the authoritarian mentality, in addition to their arming themselves with the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan and their ongoing struggle in Kurdistan.

Then, the martyr Alanita Band of the Aram Tigran Center in Rimelan, the Martyr Judy and Alfateriya Bands of the Dijla Center in Derik, and the Ribua al-Jazera Band of the Cultural Center in Tal Koçer presented a set of songs, and the participants performed dabke circles.
