Women in Qamishlo stated that the murder of a woman in the Qaddour Bek neighborhood is unacceptable and called on the relevant institutions to impose the harshest penalties on the perpetrator.

On December 29, a woman was killed by a relative in the Qaddour Bek neighborhood of Qamishlo. Several women in the city have expressed their views on the matter.

Wotfa Ibrahim declared that regardless of the reason, women should not be killed. She said, "Many women are currently subjected to oppression and coercion because of patriarchal mindsets. We do not accept violence and the killing of women. Those who kill women must be brought to justice and severely punished."

Siham Othman also stated that violence against women and their murder is condemnable and unacceptable anywhere. She added, "Those who kill women must be punished."

She emphasized the need for Arab, Kurdish, and Syriac women to unite, oppose all forms of violence, and rise up against patriarchal mentalities.

Samira Ramo said, "No matter how many statements we make, they do not ease our anguish over the crimes committed against women." She stressed the urgency of stopping such crimes and holding those who kill women accountable before the people and in accordance with the views of women.
