Araghchi warns of U.S.-Israeli escalation, calls on regional countries to remain vigilant

Today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned of what he described as “U.S. and Israeli efforts to escalate tensions” in the region, calling on neighboring countries to coordinate and remain vigilant in the face of any destabilizing actions.

During phone conversations with his counterparts in Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey, Araghchi stated that the United States and Israel are carrying out escalatory actions targeting Iranian infrastructure, stressing that Iran will spare no effort in defending its sovereignty and security.

He added that diplomatic contacts with neighboring countries are ongoing, and that there are regional initiatives and mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions and proposing ideas to end the war.

Araghchi also called on all countries to refrain from any steps that could expand the scope of the conflict. In a phone call with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, he stressed the need to avoid any action that could further intensify the conflict with the United States and Israel.
