Aleppo residents join global call for leader Ocalan’s physical freedom

Kurdistanis and their supporters continue their activities demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and condemning the policies practiced against him by Turkish authorities in Imrali. As a new global campaign titled "I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan" launches in Europe, residents of Aleppo have voiced their desire to meet with him.

Mohammad Akram Sheikho, a local citizen, stated that meeting leader Abdullah Ocalan holds special sanctity, emphasizing that the  leader gave them a philosophy for life, not just revolution.

Sheikho added that anyone who has lived through the revolutionary stage initiated by the leader more than half a century ago would long to meet him and see him in person, as he brought change to the world through the knowledge and philosophy he contributed to the realm of democratic civilization.

Jumana Hamid, a citizen, said: “We believed in the ideology of leader Abdullah Ocalan, taught our children to believe in him, and sacrificed everything dear to us for this belief.”

She continued: “It’s more than just a wish—it’s a demand to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan. It is a dream that will come true. We, too, are like all other Kurdistanis.”

Citizen Adnan Ahmad explained his desire to meet Abdullah Ocalan, saying: “The love that leader Abdullah Ocalan planted in our hearts revealed the past, changed the present, and paved the way for the future. It touched human beings and their senses to become the best examples to follow.” He described him as “life itself” due to the ideas he presented that helped save the Kurds from genocidal schemes and promoted peace after proving he is the leader of the era of peace. He also expressed his willingness to go anywhere just to meet him.

Citizen Asia Abdo said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who prioritized peace and humanity over war, has proven to the whole world that achieving his freedom is the right path for the future of the region—and it is now closer than ever before.”

The campaign "I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan" comes as a continuation of the campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan – A Political Solution to the Kurdish Question," which was launched on October 10, 2023, in 74 centers worldwide and has since expanded to 105 different locations.
