The recent massacres targeting Alawites on the Syrian coast have sparked widespread outrage in the Syrian street, where citizens described them as brutal and inhumane acts.

In this context, Suleiman Rasto, one of the Alawites from Derik in al-Jazira region, said: "We are watching with great concern the massacres being committed in the Syrian coast, where the brutality has reached a point that families can no longer bury their children and innocent victims. These crimes violate all humanitarian standards and constitute terrorism against the Alawite community."

Resto emphasized that the international community bears the responsibility of urgent intervention to stop these crimes, calling on the United Nations and international organizations to act to protect the rights of minorities in Syria. He also expressed hope that the commander of the SDF forces, Mazloum Abdi, would contribute to achieving civil peace during this critical phase.

For his part, Hatim Suhaim expressed his condemnation of the massacres, saying: "We strongly denounce the crimes targeting the Alawites, especially the killing of innocent children and women. What is happening is a crime against humanity that must stop immediately."

He called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take swift action to stop the massacres, warning that the escalation of sectarian violence could further threaten the stability of the region.

This, and various areas of the Syrian coast have witnessed massacres since March 6-7 of this year, resulting in the loss of more than 1,500 lives, including entire families.
