Afrin-Shahba Lawyers Union calls for an end to Turkish occupation violations

The co-chair of the Afrin and al-Shahba Cantons Lawyers Union, Lazgin Kor, spoke to ANHA agency about the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on North and East Syria.

Lazgin Kor pointed out the efforts of the Turkish occupation state to revive the Ottoman Empire on Syrian lands, and its escalation of its attacks on Syria, especially the against North and East Syria, to achieve this goal.

Lazgin Kor explained that this is not the first time that the Turkish occupation state has attacked North and East Syria, and he continued his speech by saying: “The Turkish state is targeting the region’s infrastructure, hospitals and schools, and these attacks and practices are considered war crimes, as the Turkish state seeks with these attacks to eliminate AANES project and the revival of the Ottoman project, and it is also trying to hide its internal crises and problems through these attacks, especially with the approaching elections for local administrations in Turkey.”

The co-chair of the Afrin and al-Shahba Cantons Lawyers Union, Lazgin Kor, pointed out that the Turkish occupation state violates international laws and norms, and that it is committing war crimes under international treaties, so a firm stance must be taken regarding them.

Lazgin Kor called on international organizations and the Damascus government to adhere to their responsibilities in putting an end to the attacks of the Turkish occupation state.
