Activities of “Global Support for Rojava” day activities kick off 

Most cities in Rojava are witnessing large marches and mass gatherings today condemning the continued attacks and threats targeting the region, while affirming support for Kurdish unity.

These marches are part of the activities taking place across Kurdistan and globally in the context of the “Global Support for Rojava” Day.

In this context, the first events have already kicked off simultaneously in the cities of Qamishlo and Amuda.

The Qamishlo march set off from Sony Roundabout at 10:30 a.m., while the Amuda march began from Free Women’s Square at 11:00 a.m.

In addition, a march in Girkê Legê will begin shortly from Martyr Khabat Square, and a march in Derik will set off from Freedom Square at 12:00 p.m., while residents of Zirghan will gather in front of the Democratic Union Party office in the city.

Residents of al-Darbasiyah will also march from Free Women’s Square, while the people of Hasakah will hold a mass rally in front of the City Council (Dove Roundabout) at 1:00 p.m., coinciding with a similar rally by residents of Tel Tamr at the southern entrance roundabout of the city at the same time.

These popular activities in the region, as well as across Kurdistan and worldwide, come amid the continued attacks and threats facing the regions of North and East Syria since January 17, despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement last Friday.
