The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) announced in a new report that 7,010 people have been killed since the outbreak of protests in Iran and East Kurdistan, including 6,506 protesters it said were killed at the hands of the Iranian authorities.

The report stated that 53,845 protesters were arrested, while 25,845 others were injured, in addition to the detention of 141 university students, the summoning of 11,052 people for questioning, and the coercion of 355 protesters into making confessions.

For its part, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network said in a report on Saturday that it had documented the killing of 240 Kurdish protesters since the start of the protests, noting that the Iranian authorities were preventing some families from burying their dead in their hometowns, forcing them to bury their dead in other areas.
