50 citizens abducted in occupied Afrin

Mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation have abducted 50 citizens in the occupied Afrin Canton over the course of 14 days.

The Violations Documentation Center has revealed the names of 50 individuals and the circumstances of their abduction by mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation state in occupied Afrin during the current month of August.

August 1, 2024:

Mercenaries from the National Army (Sultan Murad) abducted two citizens, Hassan Ali Ali (47 years old) and Mohammed Ali Ali (33 years old), after raiding their homes in Jindires in occupied Afrin.

National Army mercenaries abducted Abdul Rahman Rasoul (42 years old), a resident of Afrizeh village in Mobata city, from his cousin's house in the Al-Zaydiya neighborhood and took him to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries (Military Police) abducted Mohammed Abdul Rahman (55 years old), a resident of Kawerka village in Jindires, and took him to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries abducted Mohammed Fawzi bin Mustafa (44 years old), a resident of "Kakhreh" village in Mobata, after raiding his home near Nowruz Roundabout in Afrin. He works in the trade and distribution of car and tractor tires.

National Army mercenaries in Mobata city abducted Omar Mohammed Rashid Alou Kilo (35 years old), a resident of Mirkan "Hasiya" village in Mobata city, and took him to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries abducted Bahoz Adham Ibrahim Hamkli (27 years old), a resident of Talef village in Jindires city, and took him to an unknown destination.

August 2, 2024:

National Army mercenaries in Afrin city abducted two citizens from Sherawa city: Ahmed Khalil Ali (from Kabashin village) and Khalil Ibrahim Shawti (from Fafertin village), taking them to their headquarters in the city.

National Army mercenaries (Military Police) in Afrin city abducted citizen Jwan Hameed Horo (42 years old), a resident of Aoka village in Bulbul, who resides in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin city. He was taken to the security headquarters, and his fate remains unknown.

National Army mercenaries (Military Police) in Afrin city abducted Mohammed Saeed Omar (43 years old), a resident of Khlanira village in Afrin city, and took him to an unknown destination.

August 3, 2024:

National Army mercenaries from the "Amshat / Suleiman Shah" faction abducted Omar Mohammed Alou, a resident of Mirkan village in Mobata city, demanding a ransom of $1,000 from his family to reveal his location.

National Army mercenaries from "Political Security" in Afrin city abducted the Mukhtar (village head) of Adama village, Adnan Mohammed Ali Haji (63 years old), and his son Ali Adnan Haji (20 years old) in their village, after he demanded the cessation of fire-starting operations in the mountains of Midana villages in Rajo city.

August 4, 2024:

National Army mercenaries from "Political Security" abducted Azad Mohammed Rashu (40 years old), a resident of Midana villages in Rajo city, and took him to Ma’rata prison in Afrin city.

August 6, 2024:

National Army mercenaries from "Military Police" abducted Rashid Shukri Rashid (53 years old), a resident of Jindires city, and took him to an unknown destination .

National Army mercenaries (Faylaq Al-Sham) abducted two citizens with disabilities from Midan Ikbes village in Rajo city in Afrin: Zakaria Horo (60 years old) and Ziad Horo (25 years old). They were taken to an unknown destination.

August 7, 2024:

National Army mercenaries abducted two citizens, Mohammed Jamal bin Muhyiddin (34 years old) and Mohammed Mustafa bin Sidou (29 years old), from Bulbula town while they were visiting the transportation department to register their motorcycles. They were taken to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries from the "Military Police" abducted Mahmoud Mohammed Kartal (32 years old), a resident of Khalilka (Marwiya) village in Bulbula town, and took him to Ma’rata prison in Afrin city.

August 8, 2024:

National Army mercenaries near Shankileh village in Bulbula town abducted three citizens: Ziad Mohammed Mohammed (45 years old), Jihad Mohammed Ibrahim (50 years old), from Jindires, and Mohammed Ibrahim (32 years old), from Rajo city. They were taken to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries in Jindires abducted Salah Ahmed Sweidan (54 years old), a resident of Maronia village in Sheikh/Shiyeh Hadid, and took him to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries in Azaz city abducted a woman named Nermin Adel Mohammed with her daughter, along with her brother Malik Adel Mohammed, and took them to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries abducted Ahmed Mustafa bin Mohammed (46 years old), a resident of Bulbula town, and took him to an unknown destination.

August 11, 2024:

National Army mercenaries abducted Rizan Hassan Mohammed (43 years old) from Bavlor village in Jindires city, from his home near Gihan Hospital in Afrin city, and took him to an unknown destination.

August 12, 2024:

National Army mercenaries from "Military Police" in Jindires city center abducted Abdul Rahman Hassan (58 years old) from his home and took him to an unknown destination.

August 13, 2024:

National Army mercenaries from "Military Police" raided the home of Fakhr Rashid Hamo in Ma’rata village in Afrin city, abducting him along with his wife Ilham Nasso and their children; Shiar (4 years old), Guevara (14 years old), and Jwan (16 years old), as well as guests who were in the house: Louay Mohammed Hamo (24 years old), his wife Fahima Rashu, Amer Hamo, Nuri Hamo, Khalil Rashu, Abdul Rahman Hamo, Farhan Rashid Hamo, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, his wife Rankin Hamo, and their child Nasser Al-Ahmed.

August 14, 2024:

National Army mercenaries abducted Mohammed Ismail (22 years old) from Ghazawiya village in Sherawa town, and Jwan Suleiman (23 years old) from Jindires city in Afrin, taking them to an unknown destination.

National Army mercenaries from the "Military Police" raided several homes near the customs building on Rajo Street in Afrin city on August 14, carrying out random abductions of residents, including Nouri Mustafa Hussein, Abdul Mustafa Ahmed, and Luqman Sidou (38 years old).
