5 killed in separate incidents across Syria

Five people were killed yesterday in separate incidents across several Syrian governorates, ranging from homicides to explosions caused by remnants of war.

In the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, residents discovered the body of a one-year-old child in the town of Al-Duwayr, nearly 20 days after the child had gone missing; the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

In the countryside of Damascus, a young man was killed when a hand grenade accidentally exploded in the Baydar al-Sultani neighborhood of Al-Tal city.

Daraa Governorate recorded the deaths of two young men in the city of Al-Sanamayn under mysterious circumstances, with no further details available regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, another individual was killed by the explosion of a landmine—a remnant of war—while in the village of Safyan in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
