170 displaced Yazidis return to their homes in Şhengal

The Iraqi Ministry of Immigration and Displacement reported today, in a statement, that: “Minister Ivan Faiq Jabro announced, on Tuesday, the voluntary return of (170) displaced Yazidis from the Sharia camp in Dohuk Governorate to their original residential areas in Shengal district and its affiliated districts and villages in Nineveh Governorate.” In coordination with the security forces and local governments in the two governorates and the Joint Operations Command to secure their return.”

Jabro added, according to the statement: “Their furniture was transferred from the camp to their original areas in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).”

She continued, "As soon as the returnees arrive in their original areas, they will be provided with relief aid," noting that "the next few days will witness another voluntary return of the displaced from the Dohuk camps to their areas in Shengal."

Yesterday, 487 displaced Yazidis from Sharia camp in Dohuk Governorate returned to their original areas of residence in Shengal District in Nineveh Governorate, according to what the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced.
