Arab experts: Turkey's violations against NE, Syria are state terrorism

Arab reactions continued against the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation forces in the regions of northeastern Syria, which led to a worsening of the humanitarian and living situation in the region, especially with Turkey’s deliberate targeting of infrastructure.

Barbaric policy

Writer and political analyst Ibrahim Shaaban described the statements of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, that “all infrastructure and superstructure facilities in Iraq and Syria, as well as energy points, have become legitimate targets,” as “state terrorism,” calling on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to reject and condemn these statements. .

Shaaban told ANHA's agency, “The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, never forgot his intelligence history, as a former head of Turkish intelligence, and before coming to the position of Foreign Minister, demanding that he apologize for these statements because it is terrorism for which he and his regime will be held accountable.”

Shaaban asked about the justification on which Erdogan’s Foreign Minister bases these barbaric violations and blatant threats by targeting infrastructure and facilities in NE, Syria, stressing, “This is a blatant aggression and continues a Turkish plan since 2011 to seize control and occupy lands in the two countries, especially in northern Syria.”

The Egyptian writer called on “Erdogan’s regime to respect the sovereignty of Iraq and Syria, and to protect Turkish national security from within Turkey, and not to invade the lands, facilities, capabilities, and borders of others.” He described “Turkish politicians’ continued interference in northern Syria as an escape from Turkish internal crises, especially those related to inflation and its repercussions of the devastating earthquake.

  According to the Egyptian writer, “The Turkish policy adopted by Erdogan is rejected by a large sector of Turks, as evidenced by the fact that there are approximately 30 million Turks who voted for Kamaloglu in the last elections, and he must not forget that his victory over Kamaloglu came by less than 4%, which is a small percentage, and he must the Turkish regime is reviewing its policies, especially in Syria and Iraq.”

Ibrahim Shaaban concluded his speech by “demanding” the League of Arab States to condemn the Turkish army’s violations of northern Syria, and to denounce the Foreign Minister’s statements and consider them state terrorism, which stigmatizes Turkey, and does not make a significant difference here between what comes out of Ankara and what comes out of Tel Aviv against the Palestinian people.

Killing empire

In her turn, Lebanese human rights activist Sawsan Shoman considered that what Turkey is committing against NE, Syria is not surprising to the Turkish occupation, which continuously deliberately targets the resolve and determination of the people of this region in general and the Kurds in particular.

She told ANHA's agency: “These are unsurprising transgressions by the Turkish authorities with the Ottoman ideology, which built its empire on injustice, murder, and displacement.”

  Sawsan called on "the Turkish government to solve its internal problems away from northern Syria, and also called on the international community to put pressure on Turkey to end this war immediately."

She pointed out that "world public opinion must be a more expressive means of pressure on this blatant violation of human rights, especially since the Turkish government is accustomed to violating international conventions and treaties, starting with the arbitrary arrest of leader Abdullah Ocalan, to severe isolation, in addition to its continuous violations on the local and regional scene."
