HPG eliminate Turkish soldier and damage helicopter

Today, the Media Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement about the Guerrilla operations and the attacks of the Turkish occupation army in the Midya Defense areas of Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), which read:

"In the area of the martyr Dalil, west of Zap"

On September 17, between 08:00 and 12:00, the Turkish occupation soldiers were targeted with heavy weapons in the resistance square in Judi Hill, where strikes were directed at two positions of the occupation soldiers, and this operation was carried out by the Free Women’s Units - Star.

On September 17, at 14:50, 15:27, and 17:00, Turkish occupation soldiers were targeted with heavy weapons in the Resistance Square on Judi Hill, and strikes were directed at two positions of the occupation soldiers.

On September 17, at 18:00, attacks were directed at one of the occupation soldiers’ positions with heavy weapons in the Resistance Square in Judi Hill, carried out by the Free Women’s Units - Star.

On September 17, at 20:00, the Free Women’s Units - Star launched a sniper target at the occupation soldiers in the Resistance Square in Judi Hill, where the operation resulted in the killing of a soldier.

On September 17, at 1:15 p.m., the Turkish occupation soldiers, who were trying to position themselves in the square, were targeted with heavy weapons in the Resistance Square on Amadiya Hill, and the strikes were directed at one of the occupation sites.

On September 17, at 16:16, the Turkish occupation soldiers, who were trying to position themselves in the square, were targeted with semi-automatic weapons in the resistance square on Amadiya Hill, and the strikes were directed at one of the occupation sites.

In Zap area:

On September 16, at 12:00, Turkish occupation soldiers were targeted with heavy weapons in the resistance square in Sida.

In Matina area:

On September 17, at 20:40, our forces intervened to prevent the movements of helicopters in the resistance square in Ortiya Hill, where one of the helicopters was targeted with semi-automatic weapons, forcing the damaged helicopter to leave the square. Our forces also intervened to prevent Skorski helicopter' movements, that was trying to land her forces in the arena, was forced to leave the area.

Turkish occupation army attacks:

On September 17, the Martyr Dalil area, west of Zap, and the Matina area were bombed by helicopters.

While the areas of Zap, Martyr Dalil, west of Zap, and Matina were bombarded with artillery shells".
