​​​​​​Second conference of Lawyers Union in NE Syria kicks off

In the meantime, the work of the second conference of the Lawyers' Union in NE Syria is being held in the city of Qamishlo, under the slogan "Advocacy is a message and its core is to establish the values of the natural society", with the participation of more than 72 delegates of lawyers from NE Syria.

The first day of the conference, which was held at the Muhammad Sheikho Center for Culture and Art in the city of Qamishlo, was attended by representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Jazera region, the Syrian Democratic Council, the Democratic Society Movement, and the Interior Body for North and East Syria.

The conference began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then a member of the Lawyers Union in Jazera region, Muhammad Amin al-Niaimy, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, and revealed the conference program during the first and second days.

Regarding the conference, member of the Lawyers Union in Jazera region, Muhammad Amin al-Niaimy, said: "The focus will be on the situation of leader Ocalan and the isolation imposed on him for more than 25 years, and disciplinary penalties and depriving him of the "Right to Hope" law, in addition to focusing on the trial of ISIS mercenaries and the way they are tried.

On the first day, will receive many speeches in addition to reading the assessments of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in both Kurdish and Arabic, and the annual reports, and the organizational status of the Union will be discussed.

On the second day, it is scheduled to complete the discussion on the organizational situation and endorse the proposals received, after which the co-chair of the Union, members of the Finance Committee, and members of Discipline will be elected, so that the conference will end with a closing statement.

The first founding conference of the Lawyers Union of NE Syria was held on April 13, 2019, in the city of Kobani.
