National Defense snipers target the people of Jabour tribe in Hasakah

Against the background of the tension in the city of Hasakah since Sunday, and in response to the failure of officials in the Damascus government forces to implement the demands of the Jabour tribe, by isolating the commander of the National Defense Mercenaries in Hasakah Abdul Qadir Hamo, a group of tribesmen went a short while ago to control a checkpoint of the National Defense mercenaries Known locally as the state security checkpoint, according to our correspondent.

ANHA's correspondent reported that the group heading towards the checkpoint was targeted with bursts of bullets from snipers stationed in the areas where the National Defense mercenaries are stationed within the areas controlled by the Damascus government.

Our correspondent quoted a participant in the attempt to control the checkpoint as saying that the targeting resulted in injuries among the tribe's members.

Snipers also targeted the sit-in tent of the al-Jabour tribe in al-Hasakah city, which was erected in the Tal Hajar neighborhood by the tribe's members, since Monday.

The area separating areas run by the Autonomous Administration in the city, and areas under the control of the Damascus government forces, on the part of the Assyrian Church, is witnessing a cautious calm at these moments.

Twice, the Jabour tribe gave the Damascus government forces and government officials to meet the tribe's demands to dissolve the National Defense mercenaries and hold their leader accountable in Damascus after his deportation from the region.

The tension came after the attack of the leader of the National Defense mercenaries on one of the notables of the Jabour tribe, which angered the tribe's people who gathered in the vicinity of the security square in the city.
