Syrian Initiative for Freedom of Leader Ocalan meets with UN's officials

A delegation from the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan met with officials of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, in the framework of continuing to internationalize the case of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and in continuing its intensive efforts to reach his physical freedom.

Informed sources told ANHA agency that the delegation of the Syrian Initiative was represented by the co-chair of the initiative, Khanum Ayo, and the spokesman for the initiative, Idris Saeed, while the United Nations Human Rights Committee was represented by representatives of the committee in Turkey.

The initiative delegation briefed the officials of the United Nations Human Rights Committee on the isolation imposed on leader Ocalan, and the crimes committed by Turkey against him, which are contrary to the human rights principles adopted by the United Nations.

The delegation handed over documents bearing 2,646,211 signatures, collected in NE Syria, Damascus and Aleppo, calling for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The delegation briefed the officials on the ongoing crimes by Turkey against the Syrians in NE Syria, through the use of water as a weapon, and the continuation of land and air attacks on the region and its people.
