Women's forum in Raqqa to support Şengal, Afghanistan women

The forum is taking place in the meantime in the hall of Al-Sharq University in Raqqa, will be attended by representatives of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and women's organizations in NE Syria, most notably the Kongra Star, the Yazidi Women's Union, Jinologia, the Zenobia Women's Gathering, women's offices and councils in political parties, and the Council Syrian women and civil society organizations.

The forum began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then a welcoming speech was delivered by the coordinating member of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering, Nisreen Al-Hassan.

Nisreen Al-Hassan said: “In my country, we did not see slogans, but actions. We have seen women behind bars for years, making chains out of iron, with which they fought the most powerful terrorist organization in the world."

The forum includes 4 focal points, the first of which is entitled "The Extermination of Women in the World", and is delivered by the feminist activist and human rights worker, Lina Pawer.

As for the second is entitled "Women's Genocide in the Middle East - Afghanistan," and it was delivered by Orifan Abdouz, the member of the Jinology Research Center.

While the third axis is entitled "On the extermination and resistance of Yazidi women," that is delivered by the member of the Yazidi Women's Council, Berivan Barzan Selo.

Whereas the fourth and final axis is “Solutions”, by the spokeswoman for Kongra Star, Rehan Loqo.

These focal points include a presentation of statistics, an international song about the genocide of women, as well as a video tape about Afghan women, in addition to listening to eyewitnesses and interventions from the audience.

This forum supports KJK's initiative, which launched its campaign under the slogan "We stand with the women of Afghanistan and Şengal against the attacks of the dominant man."
