YPJ announces support KJK's campaign for women in Şengal, Afghanistan

This came during a written statement issued by the General Command of the Women's Protection Units, which read:

"9 years have passed since the Şengal massacre, which took place on August 3, 2014, when the barbaric mercenaries of ISIS launched genocidal attacks, and the military forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party fled, and the global dominant powers remained inaction. In the context of the same mentality of extermination, the Taliban movement On August 15, 2021, by seizing and controlling Afghanistan, the Taliban movement came to power under the name of the peace agreement, and committed inhumane practices with the complicity and support of international powers.

On this occasion, we remember our Yazidi people and the Afghan people, especially the women and children who were martyred in the massacre, with reverence. We strongly condemn these brutal attacks committed by the enemies of women and life, and we also remember all the immortal martyrs and heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives.

Women in Afghanistan were excluded from all aspects of life under the name of religion and faith, and activists, parliamentarians, journalists, medical workers and lawyers were brutally killed, and dozens of activists were attacked in prisons, and in the context of the same mentality, the world witnessed the most brutal and heinous massacre in Şengal .

The Afghan and Yazidi women did not surrender to slavery despite all these brutal and tyrannical practices, so we salute this honorable resistance of Afghan and Yazidi women, and we promise all women who have fallen victim to the assault of the dominant man to escalate the struggle for women’s freedom from Rojava and even Şengal and Afghanistan more than ever before.

We realize that the dominant man carries out a massive attack on women based on the same mentality, They want to impose a life devoid of dignity, culture and morals on society and humanity.

 The mentality that caused the genocide in Şengal and Afghanistan prevails everywhere today.

In NE Syria, for example, our comrades-in-arms who fought against ISIS for years with great courage are being targeted today by the Turkish occupation state, and Arab women who have engaged in Rojava Revolution and join the ranks of the struggle and represent Arab women to be killed by ISIS sleeper cells, and women in the areas occupied by the Turkish state such as Afrin, Tal Abyad and Serêkaniyê are subjected to kidnapping and rape on a daily and brutal basis. Activist Nakhan Akarsal was also martyred in Sulaymaniyah, Gina Amini in Rojhelat Kurdistan, the pioneer in the women's freedom movement Avin Goy was targeted in Europe, and activist Mursal Nabizadeh was killed in Afghanistan in the context of the same mentality and the policy of the dominant man adopted by capitalist modernity.​

“We stand with the women of Afghanistan and Şengal against all attacks. As we, in the Women’s Protection Units, reconfigured ourselves according to the ideas of leader Apo regarding women’s freedom and developed our defensive forces, the leader guided us to the path of salvation from slavery. With the participation of Arab, Assyrian, Turkmen and international women, we have brought our voice to all the women of the world.

We will work to strengthen our system of fundamental protection at the level of the ideology of women's liberation and at the level of the legitimate line of defense as well, in the face of the mentality of the dominant man.

We in the Women's Protection Units are ready to fulfill our historical responsibilities and duties to establish a global system for women's protection.

We know that the legitimate struggle of the women of Şengal and Afghanistan is our struggle itself, and that is why we affirm that we will not back down despite all the pressures, attacks, genocide and aggression, and we will defeat the enemies of women and life, and for this we will draw our strength from each other as women wherever we are, and we will take revenge for all women with the person of Mursal Nabi Zadeh from Afghanistan And Gina Amini from Rojhalat and Berivan Yazidi from Şengal.
