Two people injured in a car explosion in district in Başûr

Roj News Agency reported that a car exploded in Takiya sub-district in Çemçemal district, southeast of Sulaymaniyah Governorate in Başûr (southern Kurdistan), while the director of the district revealed that two people were injured as a preliminary outcome.

Roj news agency quoted its correspondent as saying: "At about one o'clock in the afternoon, a tire (a car) exploded on the road linking Takiya district and Çemçemal district, near one of the main bumps."

The correspondent added that the security services arrived at the scene to find out the causes of the explosion.

In his turn, the District Commissioner of Çemçemal, Ramak Ramadan confirmed, in a statement to local media, that the causes of the explosion are not known yet, but according to our information, the wheel operates with the gas system and the cause of the explosion may be a mechanical defect, adding that the security forces are the ones who decide the causes of the explosion.

Momand Rashid, the director of the Takiya district, said, "The causes of the accident are not clear until now, and we are awaiting the results of the investigations to clarify the reasons."

And it was revealed that two people were injured, as an initial outcome.
