The forum's work on the massacres in Mesopotamia and its impact on women was concluded under the slogan "With the strength and solidarity of women, we will defeat the policy of partition and the genocide of Lausanne against the peoples," with the participation of more than 60 representatives and personalities from all components of North and East Syria, with a final statement that includes a number of recommendations.

The statement was read by the deputy of the General Council of the Future Syria Party, Samira Al-Aziz.

  It stated:

The Middle East has always been a geographically rich and culturally diverse region, and its multiple demographics in terms of components, religions and cultures have contributed to the richness of the region. Historical friendship and good-neighborly relations prevailed between different peoples at all times, and its legacy within society is still evident.

However, with the intervention of the dominant Western powers, the borders of the current nation-states were demarcated. These demarcated borders do not correspond to the geographical reality or the demographics of the region. When the region in which we live today was divided and the nation-state system established; The opinions and will of the people of this region were not taken into account. with different conventions; Like Sykes-Picot a hundred years ago, with the Treaty of Lausanne, borders between peoples were delineated and racism entrenched among them.

Because of the thought of one nation, one language, one culture and one flag, which are the characteristics of nation-states, many massacres and genocides were committed in the Mesopotamia region, most of which were carried out by the Ottoman Empire and later by the Turkish Republic and the Persian and Arab states. The racist culture has been applied, not only through irrational borders, but also through fragmentation and division policies, and peoples such as the Kurds, Yazidis, Armenians, Assyrians and oppressed peoples have become victims of these policies. In this way, old friendships were destroyed, and the different nationalities and religions in our regions now look at each other with suspicion and suspicion. As a result, the division of the peoples of the Middle East allowed foreign powers to achieve their interests.

We, as the peoples of Mesopotamia and the entire Middle East, are still suffering from the politics of division and contradictions in the region. All nation states suffer from instability and conflicts arise between different powers, peoples and religions. The nation-state system was imposed on the people by coercion, which does not suit their historical nature. These wars and conflicts in Lebanon, Syria, Armenia, Sudan, Iraq, and Turkey, etc., have been the victims of women and children. Where they tried to determine the fate of the peoples of the region through these agreements, but the peoples of the region did not accept that. Since the beginning of the injustice and oppression that this situation brought, there have always been uprisings and resistance against these regimes. Pioneering women have taken their place in the struggle against fragmentation and genocide.

The women's revolution in Rojava, Kurdistan and northeastern Syria, openly and clearly opposed the policies of fragmentation and division, since its inception, and demanded a peaceful and coexistence. The various women's movements, with their solidarity, showed the possibility of building good neighborly relations for the peoples in their regions. Women from different components, religions and cultures organize themselves with their identity and work together at the same time for the freedom of society.

The thought of the democratic nation and the system of democratic confederation is the most appropriate solution for the entire region to live side by side in peace, security and freedom, with its wealth, cultures, religions and all its diverse components.

We as the women of the region and based on our historical truth and our leadership of this stage, it is our responsibility to rebuild friendly relations and good neighborliness among the peoples of the region within the framework of the democratic nation as a model for the solution.

And it requires us to raise the pace of our struggle against the policies resulting from capitalist modernity and the ideological pillars of the nation-state such as racism, religious intolerance and sexism in order to build a democratic system for peoples.

Recommendations :

1. In light of the ongoing crisis of identities, which is based on the practice of genocide of all kinds and the spread of a culture of hatred, it is necessary to strengthen the role of women in leading and pioneering society and restoring their natural role. Because women alone are able to confront, by preserving their historical, cultural and societal identity, the practice of assimilation, extermination, and the imposed state of alienation.

2. To face the repercussions of the Lausanne Agreement. To prevent the recurrence of another Lausanne Agreement with new formulas and names in light of developments and developments, and to draw scenarios in managing the region for the next centenary, in light of the deliberate absence of the peoples of the region, requires a critical reading of the history of unity and integration among the peoples of the region.

3. It is not possible to overcome the crisis of identities, genocides, and the state of alienation except by putting forward integrated democratic projects. The experience of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, whose pillar is the philosophy of the democratic nation based on coexistence and women's freedom, deserves attention and generalization to confront the policies of genocide and denial.

4. The need for women to take their place in all decision-making positions

5- Forming a women's reference and applying the women's confederation at the level of the Middle East.

6- It is necessary to protect the gains of women in order to confront all the policies planned against women, and to make these gains a legacy for all women, so that the slogan of women, life, freedom, can spread to all parts of the world.

7- Strengthening the home front for women in all fields in terms of defense and the mechanism of protection and confronting all the policies planned in the region.

8- Exposing the policies committed throughout history and the massacres committed against peoples and preserving cultures.

9- Achieving Kurdish national unity and convening the Kurdistan National Conference for Kurdish Women to become a platform for an alliance of all women.
