6 ISIS mercenaries arrested in northern Iraq
The Intelligence Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 6 ISIS mercenaries in Nineveh, northern Iraq.
The Intelligence Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior said today that it had arrested 6 ISIS mercenaries, describing them as "dangerous" in Nineveh, in the north of the country.
The agency stated that: "Its detachments in Nineveh and the rest of the provinces, according to accurate intelligence information, managed to arrest six wanted persons accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law."
It indicated that the detainees participated in fighting the security services and attacking citizens, and the documents indicate that the defendants belong to the so-called (the General Camps Brigade, the Yarmouk Division, the easiest prisoners, the That Al-Sawari Division, and the Dabiq Army). In exchange for their belonging to these terrorist names, they were paid sums of money.”
On Sunday, a force from the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi security forces began carrying out a large-scale security operation to track down ISIS mercenary cells deep in the desert of Hatra, which extends between the governorates of Nineveh, Salah al-Din and Anbar, according to what the Popular Mobilization media.
