The Vice- Head of the Academy of Politics and Democratic Thought in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), Dr. Kamoran Berwari, spoke to ANHA’s agency about the attacks targeting Kurdistan, the policies pursued in Imrali, and the decision of the Kurdistan Communities Union to end the decision to stop military operations.

Dr. Kamoran Berwari explained that the city of Sulaymaniyah was specifically chosen. To carry out assassinations in it, and he said: "The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan itself is targeted, as they seek with these assassinations to point fingers at the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and to target and strike security and stability in Sulaymaniyah."

Dr. Kamoran Berwari noted that the policies pursued in Imrali and the extermination operations carried out in Kurdistan are all the result of one scheme and said: "The disciplinary sanctions and the ban on visiting Imrali, the attacks on Başûr, Şengal, Makhmour, the defense areas of Medya and Rojava, the political genocide in Bakur Kurdistan, and the diplomatic movement against the Kurds, all of them are based on one scheme. The axis of the Kurdish issue at the international, regional and global levels is the leader Ocalan, and for this reason they pursue all their policies first towards Imrali, and this is linked to the center of the private war at the level of the Middle East and the world. If these countries do not reconsider their policies in the future, you will receive a huge economic blow that you will not be able to withstand."

"Iraq is submissive to the Turkish state"

Kamoran Berwari indicated that the government of Başûr Kurdistan and the Iraqi government had allowed the Turkish state to occupy Başûr Kurdistan and build bases in it, and he said: "Not even a single Turkish soldier could remain on the lands of Başûr Kurdistan, had it not been for the Iraqi government and the government of Başûr Kurdistan, for Iraq is submissive to the Turkish state, and there are two thousand and 400 Turkish companies operate in Iraq and Başûr Kurdistan, plundering all the resources of Iraq, especially Başûr Kurdistan, and distributing them in their country, and the current war is based on the economy of Kurdistan.

Başûr Kurdistan and Iraq have become an arena for terrorism completely"

There have been 7 incidents of political terrorism at the hands of the Turkish intelligence services in Başûr Kurdistan over the past two years, 5 of them in the city of Sulaymaniyah, but no one has been arrested in connection with these incidents so far.

Berwari answered our next question: "Why do they target Sulaymaniyah?" He said: "The city of Sulaymaniyah enjoys a cultural status and enjoys stability, peace and democracy, and most asylum seekers, activists and intellectuals are settled in it. But today, all the cities of Başûr Kurdistan and Iraq as a whole have become an arena for terrorism. There are a number of secret agreements between the four occupying countries of Kurdistan, and their drafts and maps are available to some the Kurdish parties and forces, as they implement these plans, and the plan includes the elimination of the Kurdish liberation movement in the four parts of Kurdistan, especially in Başûr Kurdistan, and this indicates the weakness and cowardice of the Turkish state and its inability to win against the Guerrilla and the Kurdish people in general, and for this reason it targets and assassinates intellectuals and leaders, and politicians, academics and impeachment. It also tries with these attacks to lay the foundation for the new Ottoman Empire. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan itself is targeted, as it seeks with these assassinations to point the finger of accusation at the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and to target and strike security and stability in Sulaymaniyah."

The ceasefire was an opportunity, but the Turkish state did not implement it"

On the 13th of June, the Kurdistan Communities Union ended the decision to stop military operations, which it launched in the aftermath of the February 6 earthquake, and later extended it until the Turkish elections, due to the Turkish occupation state continuing to launch its attacks. Kamoran Berwari commented on this decision of the Kurdistan Communities Union, indicating that the Turkish state. It did not commit to any process of stopping military operations, and he continued his speech by saying: "The ceasefire was a positive step, a step towards dialogue, negotiation and a solution to the Kurdish issue, and regardless of being one-sided, it came at the right time. The PKK announced 12 cease-fires unilateral shooting, but the Turkish occupation state did not accept or abide by any of them, and the ceasefire is a legitimate right for the PKK, because it has continued its attack on Kurdistan since its inception until now, Turkey is guilty of continuing to launch its attacks during the ceasefire and not allowing it to develop "Dialogue. Just as the war began in 1984, it has now returned to the same stage. The Turkish state's approach of defeating the Kurdish people will wipe it off the map."

An emergency conference must be held.

Dr. Kamoran Berwari explained that the Kurdish people should reconsider their regional, global and internal policies, and continued: "It is the duty of the PKK, the Kurdistan Communities Union, the Kurdistan National Congress, the Peoples' Democratic Party and the rest of the parties in Kurdistan to take a step to strengthen national unity, and work on a contract "An emergency conference to review the current situation in Kurdistan and define a new unified strategy against this occupation. Our people must also strengthen their struggle and resistance everywhere and more than ever."
